Gloria L. Welton
June 6, 1926 — April 7, 2015
Gloria L. Welton, age 88, of Centerville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Welton; daughter, Jill Diane Welton; parents, John & Lena Flanders; sister, Audrey Eichelberger; and brother, James Flanders.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Pamela Runnels; grandchildren, Jillena McConnell and Forest Runnels, Jr.; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1944. Gloria taught ceramics and displayed her works at various shows. She enjoyed big band music and dancing. Gloria also liked to go fishing and bowling.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 1-2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 2pm. Burial will take place at Bearcreek Cemetery.
