Carmon, Gloria Elizabeth age 85, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020. She was born in New Bern, North Carolina on November 6, 1934 to the late George Richardson and Jennie Williams.
She was a graduate of J.T. Barber High School class of 1956. On December 27th, 1956, she married Charlie Wallis Carmon in New Bern, North Carolina and in doing so became an Air Force wife who traveled with her family to Montana, and in 1969 settled in Dayton, Ohio to raise her children and made it her home.
Gloria was a full-time caregiver to her children and was an active church member at Chapel 3 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
She was greatly loved and will be missed by her family.
Gloria is survived by her son, Eric (Rhonda) Carmon of Huber Heights, Ohio; daughter, Charlette Carmon of Dayton, Ohio; brother, James Williams of New York City, New York; sister-in-law, Mary Williams of New York City, New York; brother-in-law, George Brown of New York City, New York; two nieces; a nephew; a host of cousins; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; seven great-nephews; one great-niece; family friends, Delores (Fred) Dancy, Luever Lewis, Agnes Molden who were like sisters to her since coming to Dayton; and Krista Lewis, who she loved like her 2nd daughter; and numerous loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 followed by a funeral service at 1:30 pm.
