Glenna Bishop was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 5, 1948 to the late Glenn and Lillian Ginter. She was reunited with them and her two late sisters, Doris Goonan and Lois Greene, when she entered Heaven's gates on January 7, 2020.
Family and friends were Glenna's passion and delight. A loving and wonderful mother and grandmother, Glenna loved spending time with her family. She could be seen at her grandkids' sporting events, celebrating holidays, shopping and dining with her daughters and their families. Her happy place was vacationing with her family on Siesta Key Beach in Florida. She also enjoyed dining and drinking red wine with her close friends. Her constant companion, her dog Maci, ruled the roost, and brought happiness to Glenna daily. Glenna brought joy to those at Lincoln Park where she worked. Prior to her retirement, she was a bus driver for 32 years for Miamisburg Schools where she was able to be the light for thousands of children.
Glenna is survived by her daughter Jennifer Suter and husband Jack, and daughter Ann Gutmann and husband Jim. Her five grandchildren, Dalton Suter, Ashton Suter, Max Gutmann, Brady Gutmann and Paige Gutmann, miss their Mamaw, but will live their lives in a way that will make her extremely proud. Glenna is also survived by two sisters, Josie Lindsay and Pat Van Buren, brother-in-law Kenny Van Buren, her special nephew Brett Van Buren and ex-husband Mike Bishop, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by many other family members and friends that she held dear to her heart.
Glenna left a loving legacy for those who were blessed to know her. She radiated warmth, kindness and positivity. Just being around her made people want to be better, to be happier and to be kind. The family's hope is that others continue to spread kindness and love to everyone in her honor.
