Glenn E. Thomerson, age 71 of Union, passed away March 23, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 19, 1940 in Barren County, KY to the late James and Archie Thomerson. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Douglas Thomerson; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 38 years, Julia Thomerson; daughters: Kim (Casey) McVicars and Ellie (William) Keller; 10 grandchildren: Tonya, Steven, Douglas, Kelly, Todd, Mary, Scott, William, Kayla and Daniel; 3 great grandchildren: Baylee, Tanner and Gianna; brother, Philip (Angie) Thomerson; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Glenn and his brother, Phil operated a commercial door business together for more than 30 years. They were well respected in that industry in the Dayton and surrounding areas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Glenn's memory to The Hospice of Dayton, 320 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
