Glenn Hill

HILL, Glenn "SONNY", 66 of Brookville passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Archie and Eliza Tucker Hill, and one stepson, Barney C. Morgan. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Alene E. Hill; daughter, Tonya Glennette Cole; 4 step-daughters, Marcella and Danny Spratt of Hillsboro, Cindy and Leonard McDaniel of Huber Heights, Shonia Morgan of Brookville, Stella and Adrian Sellers of Dayton; special grandson, Tom and Amy Morgan, whom he loved and raised as his own son; Stephanie Moore (whom he raised as his own daughter) and husband Dean; brothers: Douglas and Beverly HIll of Franklin, Larry and Wanda Hill of Beavercreek; sisters: Linda "Judy" Olinger of Dayton, Rita and Lee Roy Reynolds of Trotwood; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 5 nieces and 1 nephew; and too many beloved family and friends to list. Born in Coalfield, TN on September 2, 1940 and retired from the Operating Engineers Local 18 of Dayton, he loved working with heavy machinery and helping everyone he knew. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and loved helping kids to get ahead in life. He was affiliated witht the Living Word Church in Vandalia. Visitation will be held 4-7:00PM TODAY, TUESDAY SEPT. 12th at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd.), where funeral services will begin at 7:00PM. Burial will be 10:00am Wednesday at Willowview Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sonny's memory are encouraged to the charity of your choice.
