Glenn D. Evans

Glenn D. Evans, age 78 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born October 6, 1946 in Jellico, Tennessee, the son of the late Charles and Charlotte Evans.

Glenn will be remembered for being a diehard Chicago Bears fan. He had a talent for bowling, achieving several rings for bowling a perfect 300. Beyond bowling, he enjoyed attending car shows with his parents' 1972 Oldsmobile, a classic vehicle that won several awards, showcasing not only his appreciation for automobiles but also the joy of family traditions. One of his fondest memories with his daughter, Katie, was spending time fishing. Even if they couldn't catch anything, they enjoyed bantering with one another on the water, spending time together.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Katie Simpson; granddaughter, Brooklynn Simpson; step daughter, Kim (Bill) Bost; step granddaughters, Madison (Kody) Barth and Morgan Bost; and step great-grandson, Brixstyn.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia, Ohio.
