Glenn A. Cox, age 73 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024. He was born June 1, 1951 in Zimmerman, Ohio the son of Charles and Garnett Cox.
Glenn lived in Dayton his entire life and graduated from Wilbur Wright High School. He was a Custodian for Dayton Public Schools for 30+ years. Most recently, he retired from Fortis College. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Football Fan, among other sports. His dog, Dallas, held a special place in his heart. He was a proud American and loved showing his patriotism and flying his flag in front of his home.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Charles L. Cox, Jr., Mother, Garnett L. Cox; siblings, Charles Cox, Ronald Cox, Carol Sizemore and Diane Goodner.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy; children, Paul Cox, Anna (Jeremy) Cox-Smith and John (Devin) Brown; grandchildren, Bradley Smith, Deegan Smith, Jace Withrow and Jude Brown; siblings, Barb Callahan, Jerry Cox and James Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a service to follow at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Glenn will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery following the service.
