Gladys O. Davis

DAVIS, Gladys O., age 84, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 after a courageous 26 year battle with cancer. Gladys had a tremendous love of gardening and was known for her green thumb. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was born May 27, 1924 in Nancy, KY, the daughter of Harlan and Alice (Keith) Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene F. Davis; both parents; one sister and one brother. She is survived by her son, Eugene Jr.; daughter, Sue (Mike) Behr; grandchildren, Barb (Ron) Goralski, Chris (Wendy) Davis, Robert (Cari) Behr, Connie Davis, David (Lisa) Behr and Judy (Stephen) Buchanan; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Monday, April 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rex Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dayton and special niece, Brenda Wright.
