Gladys Mae Tharp

THARP, Gladys Mae age 82 of New Carlisle, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, December 25, 2005 at Dayview Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan B. Tharp and her sons Robert E. and Larry Joe Tharp. She is survived by her daughters Wanda Jo McGowen of Eaton, OH, Sharon and husband Robert G. Brookey of New Carlisle and Kathleen Jones of Huber Heights; grandchildren Tricia, Jason, Angie, Penny, September, Lisa, Sherri, David, Michael and Scott; great grandchildren August, Josh, Anthony, Miranda, Josie, Stephen, Samantha and Christopher; brother Woodrow and wife Evelyn Montgomery of Dayton; and a host of other relatives and friends. Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church of New Carlisle for 15 years and worked in retail sales for 15 years, while raising 5 children. Gladys was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 29, 2005 at First Baptist Church of New Carlisle 8870 St. Rt. 571, with Pastor Rick Shoemaker officiating.
