Gladys J. Heizer

Gladys J. Heizer , 85, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Grandview Hospital with her loving family by her side. Gladys was the daughter of the late Curtis and Marie (Richardson) Wheeler and was married to the late Ralph Heizer for 51 years.

Gladys was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Central Congregation for over 60 years. She worked as a buyer/seamstress for Lazarus and retired after 22 years. She loved to crochet, quilt and sew for everyone; gardening was her passion and she loved her flowers and her animals. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed by all.

Gladys is survived by her son, Daniel Heizer; her grandson Brian (Sheila) Bane; grandaughters, Shanti' Bane and Nicole Peihl; great grandaughters Samantha (Donald Champeau) Bane and Annalease McLauren; great great grandaughter Leah Champeau; and son in law Richard Bane. She was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Bane; a son Douglas Heizer; a brother Bobby Wheeler; and a sister Geraldine Williams.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel with the Brother Steve Boston officiating. Visitation will be held the evening before from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
