Gladys Garnett

Gladys Virginia Garnett, age 86 of Xenia, went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2016. She was born April 20, 1930 in Red Ash, VA to the late George and Bessie Wyatt. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by two husbands: Hunter Smith and Frank Garnett.

Gladys is survived by her children: Ronnie (Hazel) Smith and Sandra (David) Burchett; grandchildren: Angie Fugate, David (Sabrina) Smith and Samuel (Brittany) Burchett; great-grandchildren: Kayla, Machelle, Tyler, Daniel, Brionna (Justin) and Benjamin; great-great-grandchildren: Colton, Kaydence, Madison, Hayden, Hunter, Layla and Izaiah; sisters: Ruby (Al) Horton and Maxie Meadows; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gladys was a member of the Apostolics of Xenia Church, she enjoyed working puzzles and cooking for her family. Gladys was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Apostolics of Xenia Church, 978 Route 42 South, Xenia, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday. Pastor Victor Vera officiating. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
