Gertrude L. Hay

Gertrude L. Hay, age 87 of Dayton, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009. She was born January 10, 1922 in Dayton, to the late Elmer and Bertha Harlow. Gertrude was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Luther Hay and daughter, Patricia Frazier. She is survived by her children, Mary Hill, John Hay, Barbara Hay, Jim (Diane) Hay, David Hay, Susan Hay and Ashley Wormsby; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Habitat for Humanity, the Alzheimer's Association, or Ohmer Park Church. Gertrude was the best mom ever. She was loved by all those who knew her.
