Gertie Burkhart

Gertie Burkhart, age 90, of Miamisburg, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1926, in Jackson, Kentucky, to the late James and Lizzie (Raleigh) Herald. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her great grandson, A.J. Lallemand, as well as 3 brothers. Gertie is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Schindler; two grandchildren, Billy and Bobby Lallemand; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Mason Lallemand; brother, Donald Herald; and sister, Emma Williams. Gertie was employed as a welder with Richmond Screw Anchor & Co. for 50 years. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Douglas Cuddy officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service from 10 am to 11 am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
