Gerard Armand Lussier Jr., 73, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away Monday August 31st, 2020. Gerard was born in Salem, Massachusetts on October 23rd, 1946. He married Mary Lessor of Peabody, Massachusetts on December 29th, 1972.
Gerard enlisted in the United States Navy on December 12th, 1964 and served for four years. After a five year break in service, Gerard once again dedicated himself to his country by joining the United States Coast Guard in 1973, where he served for 23 years culminating in his retirement on July 31st, 1995, as a Chief Warrant Officer, 3rd Class.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary, a son and his wife William and Amanda Lussier of Horsham, West Sussex, England, and a daughter, her husband, and two grandchildren Kendra and Kevin, Colin, and Shane Schmuck of Fairborn, Ohio. He also leaves behind a sister, Carolyn Young of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, a brother and his wife Robert and Marie Lussier of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gerard and Lucia (Dumas) Lussier, and brother Raymond.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, from 11:30am-12:30pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, with a Blessing Service to begin at 12:30pm. Burial will be held privately at Dayton National Cemetery.
