Geraldine Ann Rosengarten

Geraldine Ann "Gerri" Rosengarten, age 82, of Dayton, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on February 18, 2024. Gerri was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 16, 1941 to the late Woody and Carmel Taylor.

Gerri is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Rosengarten Jr.; brother, Bud Taylor; former spouse and companion, Gregory Rosengarten Sr.; nephew, Anthony (Tony) Taylor, and several aunts, uncles and close friends.

She is survived by daughter, Jeanette "Gina" Johnson; grandchildren, Abby (Chris) Puterbaugh, Brian (Brittany Toft) Johnson, Christine (Stephen Young) Prince, Ashley (Sam) Faun, Amanda Rosengarten, Cait (Anthony Snyder) Rosengarten and Gregory (Remerkia Thomas) Rosengarten III; 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and nephew Woody Taylor.

Gerri retired from Kroger after 30+ years.

Gerri had the biggest heart. She enjoyed making people feel taken care of and loved. Gerri had a touch of stubbornness that added a unique flavor to her character, making her presence unforgettable. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother. She always saw the best in her family and her dedication and strength in them never wavered.

Donations may be made in Gerri's memory to St. Jude Research Hospital (P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Monday, 3/4/2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (411 E 2nd St, Dayton). Gerri will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
