Geraldine Mary McLaughlin, 85, passed away July 15, 2017. Geraldine was born in Cleveland, OH on September 12, 1931 to the late Stephen and Anna Sedlak.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore and her sister-in-law, Doreen Sedlak.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Karen) McLaughlin, Timothy (Barbara) McLaughlin; daughters, Marianne McLaughlin, Colleen (Justin) Jett, Sue McLaughlin; grandchildren, Julie, Tom, Nikki (Blaine), Ian, Dylan; brother, Robert Sedlak; in-laws, Maureen and Francis Irr; and other relatives and special friends.
Geraldine retired from Sears and was an avid volunteer at her church, St. Vincent de Paul, and The Corner Cupboard. She was an active member of the American Czech-Slovak Club, Free Spirits, Rosary Alter Society, and Sears Retirees. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, polka dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 Smithville Road, Dayton, Ohio, 45420.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the I.C. Food Pantry at the church.
