Geraldine Lynn Franz

Geraldine Lynn "Jerri" Franz, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. She was born on November 11, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James and Clara Deters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Edward Franz Jr. and two sisters, Noreen Cummings and Joan Taulbee.

Jerri is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Franz; two sons, Matthew (Shelley) Franz and Michael (Lori) Franz; two granddaughters, Kasey Franz and Madison Franz; one sister, Roberta Dues; three brothers, Steve Deters, Mark Deters, and Tom Deters; and special family friend, Dena Sheehan. She is also survived by other numerous family and friends.

Jerri's greatest gift was being a homemaker. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She loved to watch Kasey play soccer and she was always proud of Maddison for her success in softball and competition Cheer. Jerri was a veracious reader and most enjoyed popular fiction novels. She also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. Jerri is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery located at 1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409. The family will be celebrating her life with a luncheon after the service at Greenmont Village Community Center located at 20 Rembrandt Blvd. Kettering, OH 45420.
