Florence, Geraldine M. (Gulasa), age 79, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born October 30, 1927 in Osborn, OH, the daughter of Harry H. & Rosazella (Fowler) Anderson. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Aux. Post 746 and was an active member of the Greene County Salon 8/40, AARP Belmont Chapter, & VFW Aux. Post #6560. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Vincent A. Gulasa; 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include her husband, Francis A. Florence; sons, Vincent A. (Carol) & Ronald D. (Cheryl) Gulasa both of Florida; daughters, Brenda K. (Howard) Hill of Hillsboro, Patty A. (Jim) Radel of Lima, Sally L. Herman of South Dakota, Teresa R. (Brian) Huntley of Dayton; step-daughter, Suzanne (Gary) Bacon of Dayton; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Curtner of Tipp City & Rosemary Fahrback of Wisconsin; brother, Wayne Anderson of Florida.. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and Thursday from 9-9:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424. The American Legion Aux. Post #746 will be holding services at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at Queen of Martyrs, 4144 Cedar Ridge Rd., Dayton, OH 45414. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
