Geraldine (Jerri) Stauffer, age 65, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 25, surrounded by her family and friends. Jerri was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Mullins and brothers Jimmy Lewis, her first best friend, and Sanford Eugene. She is survived by her dad and stepmother, Eroy & Maggie (Mary) Mullins; her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Dennis; 2 sons, Tim (LeAnn) of Louisville, KY, and Mark (Jessica) of Dayton; and 7 grandchildren, Haley, Abbigail, Rebekah, Hunter, Mason, Holly, and Madison; devoted best friends George & Connie Brown, and Dick & Carol Dugdale. She will be greatly missed by many other family and friends. Jerri graduated from Patterson Co-op in 1961, received her RN from MVH School of Nursing, BSED from Central State University, and masters in mental health counseling from WSU. She worked in nursing for 38 years; including various hospitals, Dr. Abe Kuhr's Family Practice, and retired as a school nurse at Carroll High School after 25 years of service. She was a charter member of Gathering Place Baptist Church and member of the Dayton East Camp of Gideons International Auxiliary. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Dan Mullins, her cousin and pastor, will officiate the service. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery in Corwin, Ohio.
