Gerald F. Porumb, "Jerry", age 65, of Dayton, passed away on April 29, 2024. He was born on July 25, 1958 to the late Vivian A. and Theodore J. Porumb Sr.
Jerry enjoyed drag racing and even had his own pro-street '69 Cuda. He won first place with it at Hara Arena in 1988. He also worked out of his garage in his own Body & Paint business. Jerry was a great, left-handed bowler and bowled and average of 225, with his first 300 game in the 80's. He was a wonderful uncle and loved his nieces and nephews. When not bowling or racing cars, he was a fun-loving goofball, and his humor and presence will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Theodore J. "Ted" Porumb Jr. and Walter P. Porumb Sr.
He is survived by his siblings: Louann Swalef (Ray), Anthony P. "Tony" Porumb Sr., Teresa M. Porumb, Marcia G. Smith (John) and Mark T. Porumb (Denise); sister-in-law, Gail Porumb; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, family and friends.
