He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marguerite Lang, his brother Robert Lang, and his daughters Susan Kasitz and Jani Webb.
Born on February 19, 1933, in Erie County, PA, Pete was the middle child of five. He attended Waterford High School in Waterford, PA. While there, he played several sports, lettering in football and baseball. Shortly after graduating from high school, in 1952, he joined the US Navy, serving until 1955. Some of his proudest memories were of his time working as a Radarman, aboard the USS Salem. Being in the Navy provided Pete the opportunity to visit many foreign countries, and he loved to share stories about those travels. He eventually began a career at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where he served as Supervisor of the Electricians Shop until his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed his long retirement, living in Pennsylvania and Florida for several years, before returning to Ohio to be closer to his family. Pete was also a proud lifetime member (70 years) of the Fort LeBoeuf American Legion.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
