Gerald W. Hussey

Gerald W. Hussey, age 71, of Dayton, passed away on June 20, 2024. He was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on September 12, 1952 to the late William W. Hussey Sr. & Betty Jean Shafer. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Alex Hussey; mother of his son, Roxanne Rae Hussey.

He is survived by his son, Raymond W. Hussey (Chelsea); his brother, Bill Hussey; his sisters, Mary Kerr and Jeanne Hussey and many friends.

He was a retired Union Painter from Local #249. Gerald also served his country in the United States Army. When he had free time, he liked to play cards, usually Poker. He also enjoyed spending time with his son, Ray or “fighting” with his brothers. He was a heck of a dad and lived for his son. 

He will always be remembered and will be deeply missed by all.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio. Following the Memorial Gathering, Gerald will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery at 1:00pm.
