Gerald H. Hamilton ("Jerry", "Hell Bound"), born July 3, 1939, Denver, CO, died suddenly May 21, 2016, Dayton OH.
He is survived by children Regina (Danny) Crampsey, Michael (VaRonda) Hamilton, Brian Hamilton; 6 grandchildren; siblings William (Dianne) Hamilton, Waldo Hamilton, Allen Hamilton, Lucille (Steven) Shoup, Anita Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by daughter Kimberly Faye Hamilton; parents Lucille Hopkins Hamilton, William Allen Hamilton, Ruthmae Phillips Hamilton; siblings Harriet Gaston, Virginia D'Elia.
Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Fairview High School before serving in the US Air Force. He was a Jack-of-All-Trades, enjoyed tinkering, building things, and was always ready to help when others needed something done. He was a long-time member of the Dayton Hash House Harriers, who became his second family. Through the years he worked at the Dayton Museum of Natural History, Dayton Art Institute, WPAFB, and Srepco, Inc.
Services to be held at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering OH, June 2, 2016; Visitation 4:00p-6:00p, Memorial Service at 6:00pm. Private Interment will be at the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
