Gerald E. Dobmeier

Gerald E. Dobmeier, age 71 of Medway, passed away May 14, 2017. He was born September 26, 1945 in Buffalo, NY to the late Edward and Geraldine Dobmeier. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Mae Dobmeier.
Jerry is survived by his sister and brother-in-law: Diane and David Gannon; niece: Kristin (Jared) Donohoo; nephew, Shaun Gannon; great-nieces: Abigayle and Emma.
Jerry was veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War and was a member of the Vietnam Veteran's of American Chapter 97. Jerry retired from the Hamburg (NY) Police Department.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 5, 2017 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to either the Vietnam Veteran's of America Chapter 97, P.O. Box 2707, Dayton, OH 45401-2707 or to the Hospice of Dayton.
