Gerald D. Shaw

Gerald D. Shaw, age 79, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2016. He was born to the late Howard and Audrey Shaw on February 21, 1937 in Lima, Ohio. Jerry was a veteran in the United States Air Force and served for over 20 years obtaining the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. In 1978 he founded Shaw's Lock and Key Service in Huber Heights. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lora Shaw; three children Cindy Shaw, Terry (Dani) Shaw, Mark Shaw (girlfriend Cathy Swart); seven grandchildren Jennifer, Terry Jr., Jamie, Jessica, Jodie, Kyle, Haleigh; nine great grandchildren Taylor, John C., Mackenzie, Chelsea, Kayla, Andrew, Joshua, Zachary, Michael; three sisters Sharon, Lois, Mary; two brothers Gary, James (Laura); special niece Rhonda along with many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ronnie, Gordon, Howard, Harold and great granddaughter. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 12pm-1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm. Burial will take place at Willow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Susan G. Koman Foundation.
