Gerald Boyer

Gerald "Jerry" Boyer, age 69 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. He was born in Dayton to the late Polly and Paul Boyer. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable service he married Beverly (Clagett) Boyer in 1970. He retired from Unison Manufacturing (GE Aviation) after many years of loyal service.

Jerry was a passionate NASCAR fan, playing with his "grandpups", and enjoyed traveling with his wife and children. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly Boyer; children, Charity (John Glover) Boyer and Jeremy (Jackie) Boyer; sister, Jenny Alexander; brothers, Randall Boyer and Ronnie (Lavina) Boyer; nephew, Matthew; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11am at The Bethel Christian Assembly of God (372 S Smithville Rd., Dayton). Family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (10am-11am). Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jerry's memory to Bethel Christian Assembly of God Outreach Missions or Honor Flight.
