Georgene Robbins

Robbins, Georgene H., age 91, of Riverside, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 4, 1915 in Ft. Recovery, OH, the daughter of George & Mary Johanna (Zehringer) Gebele. She was an avid fisherman who spent many years at their home at Lake Erie. She loved to write poetry and music and enjoyed quilting. Georgene was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the Dayton Flyers basketball team, and she loved watching college basketball games. She was a graduate of Dayton School of Practical Nursing. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Victor Robbins; 5 sisters; 4 brothers; and her son-in-law, William Search. Survivors include her children, B. L. Robbins and former spouse Norma, Marjorie Search, Ginger Robbins, & Georgene Lohrey; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 140 S. Findlay St., Dayton, OH 45403 on Friday, September 7, 2007 with Father John Krumm as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:30 AM until the time of mass. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Holy Family Church.
