DRESBACH, George Willard, age 85, of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Frances Dresbach; brother, Leroy Dresbach; daughters, Mary Janiece Johnson and Brenda Jean Fourman; granddaughter, Tasha Dresbach; wife of 65 years, Mary Phyllis Dresbach (Schafer), and special friend, Caroll Bennett.
Willard is survived by his children, Darlene Dresbach and Donna (Michael) McCormick; grandchildren, Angela (Tim) Studebaker, Jawana and Andrew Dresback, Maria Madison, Allison and Shane McCormick; great grandchildren, Sasha and Marcus Dresbach, Javion Jett, Kadyn Robinson, Ary'n Madison, Matthew and Ashley Studebaker, Andrew and Aiden Dresbach; son-in-law, Gerald Fourman, and special friend, Dolly Bennett.
Willard was a longtime member of Rona Community Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and a Deacon for many years. He also sang in the church choir. He retired from Steck Tool & Die. He enjoyed many years of woodworking and crafts, many of which he sold at Trader's World. Willard had a great love of Southern Bluegrass and Gospel music, as well as Western movies.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery, Fairborn.
