George Washington Rhodifer

RHODIFER, George Washington, Who was a loving and loyal son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a servant of God. He was born March 5, 1927 to George W. and Nellie Rhodifer (deceased). George went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2010. He had 3 brothers deceased, Leo, Harry, Ed Rhodifer, and 2 sisters, Esther (Rhodifer) Storck (deceased) and Helen (Rhodifer) Connerton resided in Flordia. He served for our county from 1947 to 1950 in the Army. He married Beverly (Snodgress) Rhodifer November 24, 1950 and had 3 children. Sons: George L. Rhodifer, Mark E. Rhodifer and wife Joanna, daughter: Robin (Rhodifer) Rogers and husband Gene Rogers. All his children resided in TN. He has 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was a minister to United Brethren in Christ Churches through out Ohio and Indiana. Ohio Churches: Enon, Rosewood, Greenbrier, Olive Chapel, Prescott, Zanesville, Park Layne, St. Marys and Olivet. Indiana Churches: Mt. Victory Decatar, Innisdale, Alexandria Indiana and Pleasant Hill Muncie Indiana. The family will receive friends Sunday July 18, 2010 from 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). The service will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at 12:00 PM at Park Layne United Brethren In Christ (1320 Styer Dr, New Carlisle, OH 45344. Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
