George Tuttle

TUTTLE, George F, of Friendship Village, Trotwood, OH, passed away, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the age of 96.

George was a Mathematics Instructor at Fairmont High School in Kettering from 1952-1974. He served as President & Negotiation Chairman for the Kettering Teachers Association. He was president and on the Western Ohio Teacher's Association, & served on the Ohio Education Association Executive Committee. He was a member of the Chester Roush Educational Hall of Fame.

George served his country in WWII for 2 ½ years in the Army Quartermaster Core from 1944-1946.

He was a former pianist for Grace Community Church of Bellbrook. While a resident of Friendship Village, George enjoyed playing the piano & served on many committees.

He is survived by his nephew Dale Tuttle & family; grandnieces Jeanette Roy & family, Tori Durliat & family; grandnephew Gary Tuttle & family, all from Findlay, OH; grandnephew Jon Daum & family, Leavittsburg, OH; niece Lois Halliwill & family of California; close friends J.B. & Jan Bazzell, Spark Gibson, & many friends from Friendship Village.

As per George's wishes, there will be no viewing or memorial services. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.

Memorials may be made to the Friendship Village Residents Association, Grace UMC, Dayton, or the Mazza Museum at the University of Findlay, Findlay, OH. Arrangements entrusted to NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, DAYTON NORTH CHAPEL.
