George William Smith, age 86 of Huber Heights, passed away October 27, 2018. He was born February 22, 1932 in Greendale, IN to the late E.D. and Mary Frances "Frankie" Smith. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey; daughter, Karen; sisters: Dorothy and Betty Jean; and brothers: Scotty, Perry, Charles and Don.
George is survived by his wife, Cathy Smith; children: Donna LaBelle (Randy), Monica Adkins (Michael), Stephanie Hager (Jordan Multaner), Lisa Dawson (Tim), Dominic Wallace (Theresa), Hilary Clouse (Will) and Joshua Smith; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post # 200. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the American Legion Post # 200, 5046 Nebraska Avenue, Huber Heights, Ohio 45424. Contributions may be made in George's memory to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road.
