George Robinson

ROBINSON, George age 55, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 after a two month struggle with lymphoma.

George was born in Sidney, OH to the late Fay (nee Brautigam) and George S. Robinson. He is preceded in death by a sister, Jane R. Marshall.

He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Patti (Nee Line) Robinson; two daughters, Amy (Michael) Junker and Susan Robinson; three sisters, Ann Dilbone of Naples, FL, Carol (Jerry) Miller of Panama City, FL, and Lisa Hall of Roanoke, VA; brother-in-law, Ron Marshall of East Lansing, MI; and many special nieces and nephews.

George graduated from Fairlawn High School in 1974. He worked for 31 years at Reynolds & Reynolds as a software engineer. He enjoyed being an OSHAA track and field official for the last 6 years. A devoted husband and father, George was known for his intelligence and love of reading. He also enjoyed photography and riding the biking trails. George benefited twice from the unselfishness of others through two kidney transplants.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 5, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Life Connection of Ohio or The Red Cross in George's memory.
