George L. Aldrich Sr.
George L. Aldrich Sr., age 61, of New Carlisle, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday May 21, 2008. He was born October 29, 1946 in Brookville, Ohio. George liked spending time with his family, fishing, and just enjoying life. He retired from General Motors in Vandalia after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his sister Dolores and mother Evelyn. George is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Marie; daughter Donna (Joe) Somuk; son George L. (Bridget) Aldrich Jr.; 5 grandsons; father Donovan Aldrich; sister Linda (Gary) Sonner; brother Phillip (Diane) Aldrich; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May, 27, 2008 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at New Carlisle Cemetery. Donations may be made in George's name to Hospice of Dayton.
