George Washington Kirby, age 80 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his home. He was born May 2, 1937 in McKee, Kentucky, the son of the late Jessie and Sarah Kirby.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; brothers, William, Jesse Jack, Herbert Arnold, Robert, Mark and Paul Kirby.
George is survived by his daughters, Deborah Davis, Loraine Anderson (Alex Leno), Ruth (Cecil) Thornton, Debra (Ronnie) Power, Gloria (Michael) Jarvis, Karen Hollingsworth; sons, Garry (Cindy) Kirby, Jessie (Jackie) Kirby, George David (Joy) Kirby, Gregory (Delores) Kirby, Christopher (Jacquie) Kirby; sister, Dorothy (Michael) Trujillo; brother, Donald (JoAnn) Kirby; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
George was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a Mason at Solar Lodge #730.
