George Herbert Combs

Combs, George H. "BUNCHIE", age 69, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007. George was a proud United States Army Veteran, long time truck driver, and former owner of the Frying Pan Restaurant in Dayton.

George is survived by his wife of 39 years: Phyllis DeFurr Combs; son: Carlos Combs of Trotwood; daughters: Phyllis DeFurr & Octavia (Dennis) Buford both of Trotwood; grandchildren: Shetoria, Justin, & Jessica Combs; sisters: Beverly Combs-Elmore of Dayton, Prudence (Rev. Oscar Colman Jr.) Coleman of Trotwood, Bridget (Eddie) Spooner of Clayton, Billie (John) Colston of Dayton, Suzette Combs (Warner) of Dayton; brothers: Lamonte C. Combs of Dayton, Floyd F. (Leslie) Combs of Trotwood, Corolis S. (Jacque) Combs of Dayton; aunts: Louise Combs & Nadine Combs Wade; special friend: Samson Dean; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Allen "Billie" & Mary "Elizabeth" (Thornton) Combs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the service at Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until time of service.
