George Galloway Jr.

GALLOWAY, Jr. George H., age 83, went to be with His Lord Thursday, February 6, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents,George H. Galloway, Sr. and Laura Mae Owens Galloway of York, Pennsylvania.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, and the love of his life for 57 years, Barbara; his children, Valerie and Mark and his grandchildren, Brittany(Will)Gruber, Kiara Elijah, Brandee Elijah and his great-granddaughter,Brielle Elijah.
Galloway, a man of strong faith, was active at Zion Baptist Church as an usher for many years. He graduated from The University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a B.A. degree in Health and Physical Education. He served with the U.S. Army Combat Engineers. "Coach", as he was affectionately called, taught and coached at Dunbar High School. Galloway retired in 1992 after 31 years of service with the Dayton Public Schools and retired again after 10 years of service with Sinclair Community College.
Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Zion Baptist Church, 1684 Earlham Drive. Family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
