TREADWAY, George G. age 78 of Centerville, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his son Randy Treadway, brothers Charlie and Marvin Treadway, sisters Lorene Russell, Hazel McKart, Thelma Nelson and Dolores Money and his great grandson Keaton Moore. He is survived by Ruth (Price) Treadway, his loving wife of 58 years; son William (Judy) Treadway of Kettering; daughters Vickie (Charlie) Barnhill of Kettering, Beverly Waker of Belmont, Tammie Landess-Robinson and husband John of Kettering and Ellie Powell of Centerville; grandchildren Jennifer (Justin) Bentley, Nathan Gillett, Jeremy (Christina) Barnhill, Matthew (Dianna) Barnhill, Joy (Jose) Salgado, Laura (Seth) Dionne, Michelle Lowe, Joseph Landess, Josh (Moniqua) Robinson, Johnny Robinson, Keith (Laura) Treadway, Karen (Ron) Johnston, Andrea Anderson, Heather (Eric) Johnson and Shayne Decker; 17 great grandchildren Braydon, Matt, Charlie, Georgie, Kirsten, Kaleb, Karina, Heather, Hannah, Lillie, Dante, Liam, Sophie, Zoey, Julius, Faith, MacKenzie; brother Frank (Inez) Treadway of Centerville; sisters Nancy (Billy) Willis of Florida and Edith (Fred) Seagraves of Corbin, KY and a host of other relatives and friends.
George served our country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a 1963 graduate of the University of Dayton and a member of the Dayton Musicians Club for many years. He retired from NCR after 26 years of service prior to retirement from WPAFB. George performed as a musician for many years in and around the Dayton area.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment to follow at Centerville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
