DUTTON, George Emerson, Sr.

Age 76 of Centerville, passed away Monday, October 25, 2004 at his home. George was born January 13, 1928 in Springfield, MA, the son of the late James and Mary Dutton and grew up in Augusta, ME. He served our country in the United States Air Force. George retired from the Air Force in 1972 after 20 years of service. He served during the Humanitarian Berlin Airlift and the Vietnam War. He was also part of the Air Force One Presidential Detail during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. He is survived by his children, George E. Dutton, Jr. and wife, Joy of Franklin, OH, Catherine and Bruce Bacheller of Centerville, OH, and Linda Port of Kissimme, FL; brother, James Dutton of West Gardiner ME; grandchildren, Jay Port and Lisa Slater of Kissimme, FL, Tim and wife Tonia Dutton of Orlando, FL, April Dutton of Franklin, OH, and Robert Bacheller of Centerville, OH; great grandson, Noah Dutton of Orlando, FL. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Spring Valley Academy Worthy Student Fund or Hospice of Dayton.
