George E. Cuvar, 76, of Dayton, passed away on March 14, 2017 at Kettering Memorial Hospital.
He was born on February 5, 1941 to the late George and Helen (Kraft) Cuvar in Madison, IL. George worked as a National Technical Support Specialist at NCR for 40 years. On November 7, 1964, he married Mary Fran (Brakeville) Cuvar. George and Fran lived in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Miamisburg for many years and frequent patron of Tim Horton's. George was particularly famous for his prowess as an expert angler and tall tale teller.
George is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Fran Cuvar; the third musketeer, Margie; children, Kenny, Connie, George Jr., James Lee (Debra), Christopher (Stephanie), Elizabeth, Misty, and Cindy (Victor); grandchildren, Scott (Megan), Nathan, MaryAnn (Matthew), Jenny Bear, DJ, Bryan, Breanna, Deidra, Christopher Jr., Mitchell Man, Zachary, and Gabby Girl; his Tim Horton cronies, Ed, Larry, Lindsey, and his brother from another mother, Bill.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00-3:00pm with a service following at 3:00pm on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Miamisburg, 323 N. 11th St., Miamisburg, OH 45342.
