George M. "Jet" Butcher III, age 65, of Fairborn, passed away at home on June 9, 2023. Jet was born in Fairborn, Ohio on August 11, 1957 to the late George and Donna "Butcher" Jobe.
Jet is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua R. Stannard; brother, Patrick Michael Butcher; and his step-father, Charles Jobe.
He is survived by his wife, Jayne Butcher; daughters, Gracyn Butcher, Renee (Lloyd) Mitchell, Danielle (Kyle) Adams-Norris, Hailey (Rob) Gibson, John (Carrie) Wampler III; bonus children, Joshua (Danee) Gundaker, Jessica (Jake) Taylor and Jennifer Davis; mother-in-law, Leona Quick; siblings, Natalie DiRisio, Nick Butcher, Mark (Yvonne) Butcher, Teresa Bauer, Cathy Williams, Steve (Cathy) Butcher, Francis Butcher, Allison (Craig) Johnson, Juli Butcher, Richard (Mary) Jobe, Mark (Kellie) Jobe, Paul (Elaine) Jobe, Mandy Jobe, Jim Jobe, Douglas (Angie) Quick, Timothy Quick, Jere (Debby) Quick, Kelly (Robert) Carper, Tricia (Lee) Laraby and Kara (John) Ward; bonus brother, David Hiles; grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Owen, Emery, Liam, Jaiden, Walker, Marley, Katerina, Larken, Trent, Aubrey, Angelina, Arabella, Norrie, Reagann, Cheyenne; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Jet started working at age seven and never stopped. He became a Mason in 1986 and a Shriner in 1987. In his free time, he enjoyed flying, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek).
The family requests that those who attend Jet's visitation wear casual clothing in his memory.
