George B. Crosby Ii

CROSBY II, George B. age 71 of Kettering, OH, formerly of Piqua OH, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lucille Crosby and his first wife LaRue Crosby. He is survived by his loving wife Janiza, his sons George III and wife Georgia Crosby, David and wife Linda Crosby; grandchildren Kathryn and Elizabeth; sister Jane and husband Wayne Mizsak; and a host of other relatives and friends. George was a 1960 graduate of Bowling Green State University and retired from the City of Dayton as Superintendent of the Department of Water, Division of Water Supply and Treatment (1985-2000). He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon, Ohio Gamma Chapter; the Optimists International, Riverdale Optimists of Dayton, OH; Christ United Methodist Church; Focus Foto Club; and volunteered at the Cox Arboretum. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, August 12, 2006, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home and from 11:00 am Saturday until time of service.
