Genola Bryant

Genola Bryant, age 93 of Middletown, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 2, 2021 surrounded by family at her home. She was born on December 7, 1927 in Rickman, Tennessee to the late Isaac and Fannie Bowman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her ten brothers, Center (Velma) Bowman, Lafayette (Dorothy) Bowman, Willis Ben (Ruby) Bowman, Emmitt Green (Thelma) Bowman, Clyde Lee (Clara Jane) Bowman, Russell Dewey (Olie May) Bowman, Foster (Evelina) Bowman, Walter Francis (Eunetta) Bowman, Ezart McCoy Bowman, Perry M. Hoye (Lorene) Bowman and three sisters, Callie B. (Vernon) Odell, Auda Mae (Emil) Zalud and Vauda Mae (Lanze) Harris.

Genola is survived by her husband, Willie JT Bryant; five children, Coletje E. (Michael) Allen, Ronald Leland (Sherry) Bryant, Debora V. Hicks, Dorcas A. (Richard) Hilliard, and Laquetta L. (Thomas) Brewster; nine grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Nellie B. Blair and Cora Lou Stanley. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor David Renfro at 11:00 am. Genola will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens located at 6722 Hemple Road Dayton, Ohio 45418.
