Geneva "Jean" Nixon

February 11, 1938 — May 7, 2014

Geneva "Jean" Secrist (Earhart) Nixon age 76 of Xenia, Ohio passed away May 7, 2014. She was born to the late Neal and Katiemae Secrist who preceded her in death. She was married to John Nixon who preceded her in death in 2007. She was the loving mother of Elizabeth (Len) Watkins; sister of Neal (Diane) Secrist; and a niece to Gert Castleberry; and a special family member to numerous cousins, family and friends. A special thanks to David Peterson, Doris Adams, Eileen Martin, Carrie and Mac Cooper, Reverend Wheeler, Tish Falkner, and all the fine people of Hospice of Dayton. Jean spent many years working in the corporate world and spent the last 24 years until retirement in 2003 as owner and operator of Nixon Freight Lines. She spent her final years volunteering in local politics. She carries her love for all of you and will meet you in Heaven.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 am with The Reverend Doctor R. William Wheeler - Pastor Emeritus, Emmanuel Baptist Church Xenia at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio). Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. www.newcomerdayton.com
