Geneva I. Christmas

Geneva I. Christmas, age 92, of New Carlisle, went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2022. She was born on February 4, 1930 to the late William and Ora Morrell.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She worked in the nursery at church for many years. She had a kind heart and was always serving others. She was the last charter member of the First Baptist Church of New Carlisle. Her smile and warmth will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Melvin Christmas; her son, Bob Christmas; her grandson, Joe Christmas; and many siblings.

Her memory will be cherished by her children: Gary Lee (Anita) Christmas, Ruth Ann (Bill) Moore, Jeffrey Alan (Danese) Christmas; her sister, Virginia Ollish;10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 8870 East State Rt 571, New Carlisle, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
