Gene Raymond Webb

Gene Raymond Webb, age 92, of Huber Heights, passed away on December 20, 2023.

Gene was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 24, 1931 to the late Earl and Abby Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Bill Webb; daughter, Sue Robertson; son-in-law, Mark Robertson; granddaughter, Laura Robertson; brothers, Earl Webb and John Webb; and sister, Barbara Jewett.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Cindy (John) Guillaum; grandson, Michael (Tara) Robertson; and great-grandchildren, Jake Robertson and Penny Robertson.

Gene proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a journeyman plumber for contractors, and later became an employee for General Motors in their maintenance department where he served as a plumber for 22 years. Gene was a lifelong model airplane builder. He belonged to the Wing Masters, a community of radio-controlled aircraft pilots, builders, and designers dedicated to the promotion of all aspects of model aviation in the Dayton area. Gene briefly held a pilot's license and enjoyed flying airplanes also in his earlier years.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. The memorial service will follow at 1:30pm. Gene will be laid to rest at a later date with military honors at the Dayton National Cemetery.
