Gene McMahan, age 56 of Dayton, passed away December 21, 2011. He was born February 14, 1955 in Louisville, KY to the late Robert and Laverne McMahan. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brothers: Bruce McMahan and Larry McMahan.
Gene is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon McMahan; daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Aaron Blevins; sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Lori McMahan and John and Amy McMahan; 9 grandchildren: Aaron, Michael, Joe, Jake, Mathew, James, Kirsten, Timothy and Jayara; sisters: Donna McGill and Robin Griffen; brothers: Jackie McMahan, Mike McMahan and Tony McMahan; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Gene was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Gene's memory to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
