Gene Drew

Gene Drew, age 74, of Moraine, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on January 24, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late William and Juanita Drew. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Mary Janine Drew and son, Gene Kevin Drew.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife, Anna "Louise" Drew; two children, Dorene (John) Hedrick and Elizabeth (Christopher Gable) Drew; four grandchildren, Gene (Sarah) Hedrick, Air Force TSgt Christopher (Megan) Hedrick, Lydia Drew and Tyler Drew; three great-grandchildren, Zelda Hedrick, John Hedrick, and Amelia Hedrick. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

He graduated in 1967, from Garfield High School, Hamilton. Gene was a jack-of-all trades and a licensed Journeyman Tool and Die Maker. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing lottery and gardening, especially his roses. The most important thing to Gene was his family.

Family will receive guests from 10-11 AM on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, 45439) where a funeral service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, OH.
