Gaynell Armitage, 82, passed away on October 23, 2023. Loving mother of Tod (Sherry) Armitage and Melissa (Jeff) Compston, adored grandmother of Jacob (Sarah) Compston, Benjamin Compston, Samuel (Barry Kingston) Compston, Mara (Scott Day) Compston, Jessica McGuire, Steven Craycraft and Chad Craycraft, cherished great grandmother of William Day and Sigrid Compston and beloved sister of Peggy Kelly, Bill (Nora) Sproles, Doug Sproles and Teresa Sproles.
Gay was preceded in death by her husband Michael Gaylord Armitage, parents George and Mattie Sproles and her brother Jerry Sproles.
Gay was known to be a spitfire when she was younger. She had such a fiery personality. He enjoyed spending time with family and she loved going on cruses. She was a talented seamstress and would spend time sewing her children's clothes as well as Barbie clothes.
She was a proud member of the Kingdom Hall of Xenia's Jehovah Witnesses.
Family will be holding a private celebration of life for Gay.
