Gayle Ann Lum

March 6, 1953 — February 19, 2024

Gayle Ann Lum, 70, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024. She was the loving wife of James for 49 years, cherished mother of Josh (Michelle) and Jacob, adored grandmother of Matthew, Samuel, Kaitlynne and Henry. She is also survived by her cousin, Carolyn Burgan, as well as her friends.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents Gaylen and Betty Rice.

Gayle retired after 26 years from Miami Valley Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, watching the Food Network, and reading cookbooks. She also really enjoyed watching Tom Selleck in Blue Bloods and Hallmark movies with Jim. She loved her church family and worshipping together with them at Two Rivers Community Church.

Gayle, or as Jim lovingly called her, George, enjoyed her family most of all. Spending time with Jim, her boys, her daughter-in-law, and her grandchildren gave her so much joy. Her presence will be so very missed.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Sunday February 25, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day (February 26), with Pastor Mac Williams officiating, at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
