Gayle Ann Carpenter

February 17, 1943 — January 18, 2025

Brookville, OH

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gayle Ann Carpenter, who left this world on January 18, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on February 17, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, Gayle’s life was filled with love, laughter and a spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Gayle retired from Monarch Marking, where she dedicated many years of her life, but her greatest joy came after her retirement when she moved to Six Lakes Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida. There, she created a wonderful new chapter, surrounded by beauty and the warmth of friendships. Her contagious laugh could fill a room, and her kindness drew people to her as if they were old friends.

Family was the cornerstone of Gayle’s life. She cherished her children, Craig (Debbie) Carpenter, Michael (Judy) Carpenter, and Christy (Kevin Suther) Carpenter-Reitz. Each moment spent with them brought her immense joy, as did the countless memories made with her grandchildren: Kyle Carpenter, Kinsey Ullmayer, Keenan Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter, Vaughn Reitz, and Tessa Reitz. Gayle was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Rory Carpenter and Jax Ullmayer, who brought an additional sparkle to her eye.

As the years went by, Gayle remained the loving sister to Joyce Troiano and Sharon (Tom) Faulkner, holding a special place in their hearts with her nurturing and caring nature. She never met a stranger, always ready to extend a warm greeting to anyone she encountered. Through her genuine and open-hearted spirit, she formed lasting friendships that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

Beyond her family and friends, Gayle found joy in dancing and listening to music, immersing herself in moments that made her heart sing. Her passions illuminated her vibrant personality and, to the end, she embraced life with the same enthusiasm she showed throughout her remarkable journey.

As we remember and celebrate the life of Gayle Ann Carpenter, we extend our special thanks to Jill Duncan and her family for the loving care they provided during her final days. Gayle’s legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones, a testament to the warmth and joy she brought into the world. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bella Care Hospice in Gayle's Memory.
